The Cancer Waiting Times Monitoring Dataset Guidance (CWTs) states 'Cancer waiting times remain an important issue for Cancer patients and that the NHS should continue to ensure that Cancer services are delivered to patients in a timely manner'. This training resource has been designed to guide staff through the CWTs guidance and ultimately assist staff in managing pathways more efficiently to deliver an enhanced patient experience and improved Cancer outcomes. Cancer eLearning online training consists of two comprehensive training sections, both of which have an assessment to check understanding, there are also two sections which provide reference material only.

The training is aimed at all healthcare staff who update clinic outcome forms and patient administration systems when managing patient pathways from referral to treatment. Patients are entitled to pledges written in the NHS Constitution, such as receiving treatment or being discharged within these entitlements. The training imparts knowledge of how to accurately record outcomes of patient pathways in order to track patients and provide the interventions required to ensure that these entitlements are met. The training consists of six comprehensive training sections, five with their own assessments and reporting suites and one for reference purposes.
