Liaison Officer Training

This training will introduce you to the business continuity arrangements that will allow you to implement or support your organisations business continuity program and planning. Preparing your organisation for the unknown requires significant planning, forethought, and an organized effort to identify potential threats and take proactive steps to minimize risks. For many organisations, this type of focused preparation starts with creating an emergency plan or Business Continuity Plan. Over time, organizations may develop a more comprehensive business continuity plan for different scenarios—each intended to document and provide detailed instructions concerning how the organization will respond if/when an emergency occurs. But, how can you know whether your emergency response or business continuity plan is sufficient before you need to put it in action? Thankfully, tabletop exercises are a great tool that provides employee safety and business continuity leaders a low-cost but high-impact way of determining emergency preparedness before a crisis occurs.&nbsp,The exercise is designed to immerse the training audience in a realistic scenario that is taken from your own risk register. It will look at the key aspects of Decision Making and highlight the importance of recording key decisions to ensure individuals and organisations are prepared for a Crisis. The training course is for NHS staff with strategic, tactical or operational roles and responsibilities in Crisis Management. This Understanding and Implementing Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Principles (JESIP) Course is for all organisations who have a role and responsibilities in, responding to and recovering from Major Incidents/Crise. The course has been designed to cover the full spectrum of - JESIP Doctrine. The doctrine will be brought to life by including, Group Exercises, Case Studies that highlight 'why' things go wrong, Open Discussions and Videos. The course has been approved by the JESIP Team and developed in consultation with experienced practitioners from the 'Responder' communities and will be delivered by an experienced subject matter expert. The most effective way to confirm that your plans, people and procedures are robust and resilient is by exercising. If you have a responsibility to, design, develop and deliver of exercises, this course will teach you how to deliver exercises built on SMART objectives. The course was utilised by other organisations as it was recognised as ‘good practice’ throughout the UK.
