IAP08 - Electrosurgery (Diathermy) – An Introduction

The course explains the different types of endoscopes in use and provide a basic understanding of how they work and how they are controlled.

The course will cover the requirements of validation and testing of Endoscope Washer Disinfectors and Controlled Environmental Storage Cabinets. With focus on the daily and weekly tests that are completed by trained EDU staff.

This course provides an overview of different disinfection cycle types found within a healthcare environment, including instrument washers, endoscope washers, and human waste container washers. Basic test terminology is also covered.

This course provides an overview of different sterilization cycle types found within a healthcare environment, including large porous load and benchtop sterilizer types. Basic test terminology is also covered.

This course provides an overview of different cycle types found within a laboratory environment, including large vacuum and benchtop sterilizers, as well as incubators/fridges/freezers/ovens. Basic test terminology is also covered.

This course provides an understanding of the environmental aspects of a decontamination department, covering room designs, sources of environment contamination and how to they can be reduced.

This course provide guidance and advice on reasonable measures that should be in place to protect the health and safety of validation engineers on the road, as well as passengers or third parties such as other drivers and pedestrians.

The course explains the requirements of raw materials and how to manage material stores. It also covers also how to correctly manage the products from receipt, distribution and record keeping.
