Rethinking Assessment Data Analysis

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) is an approach to learning that enhances students’ attainability for better achievements in STEM fields. Nowadays, AI is becoming a priority in the school curriculum. Yet, the integration of AI and STEM is evident to be the best approach for teaching it. In AI and STEM, learners will be exposed to a cohesive learning paradigm, they will have the skills, knowledge, and thinking strategies to be innovative and creative problem solvers and engage families, educators, and communities in authentic learning experiences. The workshop is based on approximately 15 hours.

Teaching Artificial Intelligence (AI) in schools helps learners develop computational thinking skills that can be utilised to solve real-life problems. It is therefore necessary for all school systems to prepare their students by implementing AI curriculum following design thinking and project-based learning. In this workshop, learners will be acquainted with the state-of-art AI technologies that can be integrated across the different disciplines as well as in STEM/STEAM projects with complete immersion model. They will also discuss the direct and indirect impact of AI technologies on education. The workshop is based on approximately 15 hours.

The future of learning can be found in Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR). They take learners to different places and expose them to amazing experiences while they are at home or in the classroom. This professional development course enables teachers and educators to learn about AR and VR, how to use them in different lessons, and engage their students in wonderful 3D AR and VR learning experiences. This workshop includes topics about developing those experiences and sharing them. The workshop is based on approximately 11 hours.

Gifted and talented education is a critical component of the modern global educational system. Gifted and talented students are defined as those who demonstrate outstanding cognitive, creative, artistic, leadership, or physical capacities. Therefore, it is essential to identify those children and offer them the most suitable learning and development environment. In this workshop, participants will learn about gifted and talented education, identifying gifted and talented children, and developing policies and programs to meet their needs with a hands-on experience on developing programs suitable for various educational systems and the available resources. Participants will also learn how to qualify administrative and teaching staff before they are engaged with such programs.

The benefits of STEAM education evolve around empowering learners to develop various transferable skills such as communication, teamwork, critical thinking, creativity, and innovation. Additionally, learners will improve their inquiry skills and nurture their ability to solve complex authentic real-life problems by integrating their knowledge and understanding of the various topics using state -of-art technologies. In this workshop, participants will learn how to design, develop, and deliver STEAM curriculum. They will also learn how to construct its learning material and assessment tools.

This workshop will provide educators with an in-depth understanding of how ChatGPT, a large language model trained by OpenAI, can be used to enhance teaching and learning. Participants will explore ChatGPT’s capabilities and learn how to integrate it into their classroom activities. We will begin with an overview of ChatGPT and its potential applications in education. Participants will have hands-on interactions with ChatGPT and explore various strategies for integrating the tool into their teaching and learning activities. We will discuss how to use ChatGPT to support student research, enhance writing and language skills, and provide personalized feedback to students.
