One guarantee in life is continual change – how people deal with it in a resilient way is the measure of how successful they are in business. If you are happy in your life generally, confident in your role and have some control over your deliverables, you are better able to deal with change resiliently. There are a number of established tools for describing change, we will use a model of how to anticipate, manage and deal with change. Changing your mind-set about impending change, re-framing your approach and anticipating the positive is a great NLP-based technique for understanding beliefs, managing feelings and therefore changing behaviours.

There are times in life and at work when it’s essential to say no! The reasons for this are numerous – it may be for ethical or compliance reasons, because we don’t have the budget, because we don’t have the capacity or even the capability to deliver what another person is asking for, or it’s not in the best interest for our patients. We need to be confident, firm and clear whilst maintaining a good working relationship with others.
