In advance of the module, you are invited to share an aspect of multicultural working that is of particular interest to you. Everyone will have an opportunity to present this to the group and will share insights with facilitated tips and techniques for cultural mindfulness, and associated behaviours. You will leave the workshop better able to, recognise and positively act upon opportunities to optimise multicultural working, and the diversity in organisational, and societal cultures.

More businesses are utilising teleconferencing as a cost-effective way of connecting people around the world. It allows for fast and inclusive decision-making in an interactive way, or canvassing views from a team spread out geographically. You will role-play various teleconference scenarios taking it in turns to play the role of the Leader. We also know managers who we would not follow and this is often to do with how they do things. This workshop explores principles of influence and leadership, including how to inspire and motivate others.

Whether you are about to give a presentation, need to build a relationship with a HCP or want to make a lasting impression following a quick discussion at Congress, this workshop will introduce the tools to support you in doing this.

This workshop for those with people responsibility will look at the overlaps and differences in the distinct skills of being a manager, a coach and a leader. Manage covers all the elements of planning and communication – how to get things done efficiently through others and how to be clear in expectation using consistent management and communication tools and processes. Next, the Amplity Coaching tool is shared and practised – how to plan for, execute and follow up outstanding coaching conversations using GROW (Goal, Reality, Outcomes and Will). Finally, Kouzes and Posner Leadership techniques are practised – how to articulate a compelling vision of the future and challenge the process to drive a high performance culture in the organisation.

Techniques on how to work effectively in a matrix environment and utilise the internal and external network will be covered in this interactive workshop. The MBTI and Insights profiling tools will be utilised so you gain a deeper understanding of your own preferences for communication and decision-making. They will become acutely aware of your strengths and weaknesses as an individual and as a team. You will need to complete Stakeholder Proformas as part of your pre-work which describe the observable behaviours of individuals you would benefit from having better working relationships with in order to be successful. We bring actors trained in the Pharmaceutical industry to play the part of the stakeholders. The difficult conversations are practised in front of colleagues for feedback and filmed for 1,1 coaching. Different influencing techniques will also be practised and you will be given coaching feedback by an NLP qualified Performance Coach.

A practical insight into how to plan for, effectively deliver and follow up on high quality external meetings, such as Scientific Advisory Boards, presenting to external agencies or managing booths at congress. All skills learned are relevant for managing internal meetings such as conferences and copy approval meetings. Practical elements covered include utilising a checklist in preparation, dealing with difficult situations, managing difficult people, handling difficult questions, adopting a professional and confident style for 1,1s and in small groups. The practice and feedback ensures you leave with significantly more confidence to do this than when you arrived. Different kinds of meeting scenarios are created and you will role-play different attendees and practise dealing with various scenarios. Each practical session is filmed and you will be coached on how you can improve your performance in better handling difficult meeting situations in the future.

Insight is gained in how to invest time in activities which will result in the greatest return. You will confidently display new skills which include how to, ‘say no nicely’, be taken seriously, recognise opportunities, prioritise effectively and get things done. This interactive session uses case studies designed for you to review in pairs and agree solutions to seemingly impossible challenges in order to manage time and maintain energy levels. Each pair presents their case study with their agreed priorities and management plan. Personal plans are individually prepared, with the group identifying the pinch points and offering collective, facilitated discussion and solutions. You leave with your newly learned plans to enhance your time and energy.

A state of mindfulness means paying precise, non-judgmental attention to the details of our experience as it arises. It helps us accept our world and not struggle to escape from our experiences. Connecting with the body, 2. Allowing the mind to settle, 3. Breathing and relaxing,

All whilst giving structure for understanding normal differences between people in a host of work related areas such as communication styles, preferred management style and working in teams. An MSL and an MSL Manager need to be able to operate effectively across all four paradigms of emotional intelligence, self-regard, other regard, self-management, relationship management. This programme will enable all four elements of EQ to be explored ensuring you are able to recognise ‘automatic pilot’ and therefore choose an appropriate response to HCP challenges. Opportunities will be provided throughout for the team to work on true to life scenarios and connect project management skills with your day to day role, making the new skills immediate and practical for ongoing application when returning to your day job.

During this two-hour facilitated virtual learning event, you will learn how to plan for, deliver and follow-up on an impactful and engaging remote call with a healthcare professional. You will also explore the skills required to manage a larger audience virtually with confidence.

One guarantee in life is continual change – how people deal with it in a resilient way is the measure of how successful they are in business. If you are happy in your life generally, confident in your role and have some control over your deliverables, you are better able to deal with change resiliently. There are a number of established tools for describing change, we will use a model of how to anticipate, manage and deal with change. Changing your mind-set about impending change, re-framing your approach and anticipating the positive is a great NLP-based technique for understanding beliefs, managing feelings and therefore changing behaviours.

There are times in life and at work when it’s essential to say no! The reasons for this are numerous – it may be for ethical or compliance reasons, because we don’t have the budget, because we don’t have the capacity or even the capability to deliver what another person is asking for, or it’s not in the best interest for our patients. We need to be confident, firm and clear whilst maintaining a good working relationship with others.
