Our Advanced Data Protection Officer Masterclass is aimed at already trained Data Protection Officers who are looking to strengthen and deepen their skill and expertise within the role. Utilising knowledge refresher information and case studies to develop the concepts in practice, this course is designed to improve data protection understanding and putting compliance into practice.

This course provides accredited continuous professional development for SIROs who want to check the adequacy of the assurance arrangement they have in place to report to their Boards and receive assurance from their organisation. An in depth review of the impact and lessons learned from a serious data breach and compliance with the GDPR Accountability principle will also be covered.

A comprehensive course covering the roles and responsibilities of a data protection officer, including risk management and how to handle a data breach under the new legislation.

This course was developed for IAOs who want a greater understanding of their roles and responsibilities. This will allow them to provide assurance to the Senior Information Risk Owner (SIRO) that their information risk assets are organisationally acceptable and compliant with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) by evidencing Privacy by Design, implementing Records of Processing Activities (ROPA) and managing their Information Asset Register. It is an interactive session where complex challenges and demands are debated and considered with practical solutions offered. Roles and responsibilities of key supporting roles such as the Information Asset Administrators (IAAs) are also covered.

This course provides a practical step-by-step guide explaining how to recognise and respond to Subject Access Requests (SARs) under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and associated legislation. It will also help you to understand how to lawfully redact data that you wish to withhold. Additionally, the course covers, What to consider before responding, When to stop the clock for clarification, When to refuse a request, What is a manifestly excessive request, What an individual is entitled to, What to include in a response, What to do if the request includes information about other individuals, Addressing 3rd party requests.

To train and equip Caldicott Guardians to enable information sharing where it is appropriate to share and to give them confidence to promote lawful and ethical processing of information.
