About the CPD Course

The course has been created to support participants with information to meet the requirements of the Food Safety Act 1990, The Food Safety (General Food Hygiene) Regulations 1995. It covers an introduction to food safety and hygiene, the impact of foodborne illness, food safety hazards and contamination, food poisoning, preservation, storage and temperature control, personal hygiene, hygienic premises and equipment and Hazards Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP). Staff involved in food handling will have the knowledge of how to recognise and support good nutrition, fluid intake and food allergens (14 food allergens) as outlined by Food Standard Agency.
