This course on Applying Sustainability to Public Procurement builds on our Understanding Sustainability course and is designed to provide a practical overview of how to incorporate sustainability into public procurement exercises. When it comes to sustainability in public procurement, one size does not fit all and not all procurement exercises are appropriate for the application of sustainability. However, the consideration of sustainability, and more specifically the social, economic and environmental aspects, should be considered at the outset of every procurement. The information and checklists contained in this course will enhance your ability to apply sustainability where it is possible and beneficial to do so.

Contract Management is the hub on which change, risk, project management, demand, change, and category management all rest. It is supported by robust Supplier Relationship Management and it covers the full life-cycle of a contract. This course explains the processes and benefits of the above aspects of contract management in a public procurement context.

This course looks at best practice examples and considers some of the legal issues raised by challenges to the procurement process. It covers both selection and award stage evaluation and the various challenges posed by these processes, such as the evaluation of Project Specific questions in the Selection Questionnaire. It also considers where additional criteria can safely be included when building evaluation models and look at some of the issues that have occurred in previous legal challenges.

This course looks in depth at setting up the selection process, discusses the issues around project specific questions, considers the evaluation process and gives context to the recent legislative changes as well as practical advice on how to run the process.
