About the CPD Course

This course provides a comprehensive understanding of safeguarding and its critical role in protecting domestic abuse victims and their families from harm. Participants will explore the fundamentals of safeguarding, the nature and impact of domestic abuse and when domestic abuse becomes a safeguarding concern. The training will also equip attendees with the knowledge and skills needed to respond effectively to safeguarding issues while ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.

Safer Places is a not-for-profit organisation working in Essex and Hertfordshire. We aim to ensure the safety, improve the quality of life and reduce repeat victimisation of adults and children fleeing from or living with domestic abuse, by providing a comprehensive service of support. This involves offering advice and information, safe refuge accommodation, community based floating support, a 24 hour support line, counselling, legal services, education and training (in life skills such as literacy, numeracy, language, hobbies and employment).
