From time to time we all have to deal with behaviour we find difficult in the workplace. This may be with students/customers, the general public or colleagues. This interactive workshop helps people understanding the possible causes of conflict and difficult behaviour and helps them to manage their own emotions in the face of challenge. Participants will also build the knowledge, skills, and confidence to confidently deal with such behaviour in the workplace.

This 2-part Presentation Skills course will give you the tools and techniques you need to prepare, practice and deliver impactful presentations to any audience. You will start by delivering a 2-minute presentation about yourself, and you will then be asked to prepare and deliver a short individual presentation on a topic of your choice. After this the facilitator and your colleagues will give feedback on what you did well, and what you can improve on. This not only allows you to fine-tune your content and delivery, but also boosts your confidence.

Producing reports is a multi-disciplinary skill and an essential part of organisational operation, governance and leadership. Not only do writers have to gather, analyse and communicate their findings in clear language. They also have to manage their time and workload, their colleagues and superiors, and above all, themselves.

You will learn how to conduct values-based interviews effectively and with confidence and prepare interview notes that are an accurate reflection of the interview process and decision. Most managers were forced to lead their teams either partly or fully remotely due to COVID 19 with minimal warning and minimal preparation time. This course is designed to help navigate the challenges leading remotely presents for even the most effective managers. This course will provide the learner with an understanding of their role as a minute taker, including how to use the best techniques for producing minutes that include all the essential information required. You will gain detailed insight into what minute taking is and why it is important. Minutes are a written record of the essence of the meeting. They are used to inform those who did not attend the meeting what took place as well as a track of the actions and decisions made during the meeting. You will learn how to take notes in the meeting and then write the minutes after the meeting.
