In a fast-paced world facing global challenges, resilience skills are no longer desirable – they’re crucial. This is a practical workshop and will provide you with awareness of ourselves and provide tools and techniques to help us be even more effective. Developing Wellbeing – being aware of our physical, spiritual, mental and emotional wellbeing and how we manage our energy to increase our wellbeing and achieve our goals.

This course aims to help people develop confidence in handling difficult and sensitive conversations. It aims to help you develop confidence in handling difficult and sensitive conversations. The tools and techniques we cover will empower you to confidently manage your emotions, set expectations, say “no” when necessary, and address challenging behaviour, even when delivering tricky messages. By carefully preparing yourself and developing the right skills, mindset, and behaviour to tackle tricky conversations in alignment with your organisation’s values.

From time to time we all have to deal with behaviour we find difficult in the workplace. This may be with students/customers, the general public or colleagues. This interactive workshop helps people understanding the possible causes of conflict and difficult behaviour and helps them to manage their own emotions in the face of challenge. Participants will also build the knowledge, skills, and confidence to confidently deal with such behaviour in the workplace.

Developing performance is designed to help you to challenge and support your team members in performing in line with your values and objectives. This module is all about skills practice. Participants will work with a business actor/facilitator to practise a performance conversation that they find challenging.

This is a highly interactive course which focuses on how to communicate effectively in line with the organisation’s values. You will practise the core skills that underpin effective communication, powerful questioning, focused listening and confidently sharing your message. During the afternoon you will practise with experienced business actors, and you will leave with a personal action plan identifying how you can enhance your own communication going forward.

This workshop has been designed to provide practical tools and techniques for boosting motivation and engagement in your teams.

They will explore how to set clear expectations, both in relation to performance (outcome-based objectives), and behaviours (in line with the PCS values). We will also provide tips and tools to help with delegation and development planning.

This 2-part Presentation Skills course will give you the tools and techniques you need to prepare, practice and deliver impactful presentations to any audience. You will start by delivering a 2-minute presentation about yourself, and you will then be asked to prepare and deliver a short individual presentation on a topic of your choice. After this the facilitator and your colleagues will give feedback on what you did well, and what you can improve on. This not only allows you to fine-tune your content and delivery, but also boosts your confidence.

Not only do writers have to gather, analyse and communicate their findings in clear language. They also have to manage their time and workload, their colleagues and superiors, and above all, themselves.

This is a fast-moving interactive workshop covering the basics of Project Management and providing a practical, widely applicable framework in easy common-sense steps. We look at cutting through the jargon and getting to the tips and tools that really add value. Delegates gain an overview of the whole process and focus in on some of the most useful and user- friendly techniques some of which can be put into immediate effect. The workshop will provide participants with the tools and techniques to effectively scope, plan, implement and review their projects.

A practical workshop taking recruiters through each stage of the recruitment process. You will learn how to conduct values-based interviews effectively and with confidence and prepare interview notes that are an accurate reflection of the interview process and decision. The course also teaches how to conduct interviews in accordance with statutory requirements and how to let interviewees leave feeling confident that they were given a fair interview.

This course will provide the learner with an understanding of their role as a minute taker, including how to use the best techniques for producing minutes that include all the essential information required. You will gain detailed insight into what minute taking is and why it is important. Minutes are a written record of the essence of the meeting. They are used to inform those who did not attend the meeting what took place as well as a track of the actions and decisions made during the meeting. You will learn how to take notes in the meeting and then write the minutes after the meeting.
