From time to time we all have to deal with behaviour we find difficult in the workplace. This may be with students/customers, the general public or colleagues. This 2-part Presentation Skills course will give you the tools and techniques you need to prepare, practice and deliver impactful presentations to any audience. You will start by delivering a 2-minute presentation about yourself, and you will then be asked to prepare and deliver a short individual presentation on a topic of your choice. After this the facilitator and your colleagues will give feedback on what you did well, and what you can improve on. This not only allows you to fine-tune your content and delivery, but also boosts your confidence.

Making good organisational decisions depends on having the right information at the right time. Only then does any decision-maker know if an organisation is moving in the right direction. Producing reports is a multi-disciplinary skill and an essential part of organisational operation, governance and leadership. Not only do writers have to gather, analyse and communicate their findings in clear language. They also have to manage their time and workload, their colleagues and superiors, and above all, themselves.

A practical workshop taking recruiters through each stage of the recruitment process. You will learn how to conduct values-based interviews effectively and with confidence and prepare interview notes that are an accurate reflection of the interview process and decision. The course also teaches how to conduct interviews in accordance with statutory requirements and how to let interviewees leave feeling confident that they were given a fair interview.

This course will provide the learner with an understanding of their role as a minute taker, including how to use the best techniques for producing minutes that include all the essential information required. You will gain detailed insight into what minute taking is and why it is important. Minutes are a written record of the essence of the meeting. They are used to inform those who did not attend the meeting what took place as well as a track of the actions and decisions made during the meeting. You will learn how to take notes in the meeting and then write the minutes after the meeting.
