DEC Introduction Course Training Programme

This online training programme is a means of upskilling teachers in STEM related opportunities related to the technical/digital built environment. It is particularly appropriate for teachers in secondary and tertiary education as it focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering, Architecture and Mathematics. Off Site Manufacture is an increasingly prominent part of the Built Environment sector and this training programme aims to explain the basic process and ensure an understanding of appropriate contact. IOSMBE also ensures STEM teachers understand how it can be delivered in schools.

This training programme is a means of upskilling teachers in a range of STEM related opportunities related to the technical/digital built environment. It is particularly appropriate for teachers in secondary and tertiary education as it focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering, Architecture and Mathematics. As a fundamental part of the accredited Design Engineer Construct! learning programme, attendees undertake a 2-day intensive workshop led by professional industry trainers, exploring the project-based learning approach using industry standard BIM methodology. They also learn the basics of industry standard BIM software - usually Autodesk Revit.

It is a fun, real-world learning project that gets students thinking like architecture, engineering and construction professionals.
