Session 1 explores the importance of conceptual inquiry in today’s education; emphasizing its role in fostering learner-centric teaching. Participants will examine concepts using guiding questions; additional resources; and breakout room discussions. The session delves into Lynn Erikson, Kath Murdoch and Julie Stern’s inquiry models enabling a deeper understanding of conceptual learning. Session 2 focuses on applying these insights through lesson planning. Learn to unpack concepts; utilize Frayer’s model; create success criteria; and design assessments using GRASP and RAFT frameworks. Equip yourself with practical strategies to implement conceptual inquiry effectively in daily teaching scenarios.
