Suitable for, managers tasked with straightforward fact-find investigations into grievance, disciplinary and code of conduct investigations, who have access to and support from, experienced HR professionals. It takes managers through a grievance case in order to enable them to undertake a straightforward fact-finding investigation in an effective manner, and to produce a report of the evidence found. Covered are the skills required to weigh evidence against policy, legislation and on the balance of probability, and to reach findings for straightforward case work. Investigating complex, highly sensitive complaints, or without the support of HR, requires further training and is not included and requires a further 3 days of training.

Suitable for mediators who want to advance their practice so as to work confidently and competently as mediators or facilitators with small groups. Delegates will understand how and why teams and groups get into conflict and develop the skills and strategies needed to work effectively with multi-party conflicts. Unit 1 is a one-day course and it can be taken as a standalone unit. It is designed to work with small team or group units up to ~5 people. Unit 1 is the prerequisite for Unit 2 Mediating with larger groups. This course can be delivered face-to-face or virtually for up to 12 delegates.
