The A2 CofC is the training course and qualification needed to operate in the A2 Subcategory of the OPEN Category under the new UAS regulations. The course consists of four modules that you can access via our online Learning Portal. Once you’ve completed your online training and some guided or self-study practical flight training, you’ll complete a multiple-choice theory exam (30 questions).
The A2 CofC drone training course covers theory such as the basic principles of flight, operating in congested areas, how to avoid collisions, battery safety, and how to operate depending on a range of environmental factors. ,

The General Visual Line of Sight Certificate or the GVC as its more commonly known is the drone training and qualification needed to apply to the CAA for an Operational Authorisation. Your operational authorisation will allow you to Operate UAS in the specific category under the new UAS regulations that came into effect on December 31st, 2020. Youll complete 8 learning modules either online or in person, and once complete sit a theory exam. Once passed, youll then attempt a practical flight test. For the face to face course days 1 & 2 are theory and day 3 is practical.
