eLearning - Leakage Detection Foundation, Advanced

Standard Leakage Detection course for those who are new to the water industry or may need further knowledge and development of their skills. Upon completion, participants will have a better understanding of leak detection and, as leak detection technicians, will contribute towards the sustainability of water and the environment. The course consists of an overview with relative modules which are structured with a summary, learning objectives, PowerPoint presentations, video tutorials with audio, webinar recordings and associated knowledge check exam. An accredited certificate can be obtained once this course is completed.

The Leakage Detection Practitioner Training (International, UK Accredited) Course expands on the online Foundation training, designed for those with experience in leakage detection seeking to strengthen their skills. Delivered over two days, it combines classroom instruction with on-site, practical coaching and assessments. Technical concepts are introduced in class and reinforced through focused one-to-one guidance. Topics include Leakage Detection Overview, Water Network Assets, Metal Detector, Chlorine Testing, Hydrant Operations, Sounding, Correlation Theory, Leak Correlator, Acoustic Logging, Ground Microphone, Pipe Tracing, CSL Investigations, and Leakage Detection Innovations. On completion, participants gain a certificate recognising their practical expertise and knowledge.

Leakage Detection Practitioner, Standard course is for those with experience in leakage detection, seeking to consolidate their practical skills and understanding. This two-day course follows on from the Foundation training and includes 1-day classroom style training and 1-day on-site coaching and assessments. The classroom training covers many technical aspects of leakage detection which is reinforced in the one-to-one coaching and assessments. A certificate can be obtained once this course is completed.

Production Planning course consists of 2 classroom sessions with access to an eLearning course. This course will provide knowledge on scheduling production of water from a Water Company’s portfolio of Water Treatment Works (WTWs), to meet demand, sustainably, at the lowest cost. This course is designed for the classroom however can be delivered remotely, if necessary. The sessions encourage group participation through the slides and knowledge check questions. After these sessions, participants can self-study via the Crowder eLearning platform, where the slides are housed and an assessment is carried out. A certificate can be obtained once this course is completed.

Water Industry Short Course consists of 2 classroom sessions with access to an eLearning course. It’s suitable for those with experience in the water industry, looking to expand their theoretical understanding of aspects such as water network quality and upstream leakage. This course is designed for the classroom however can be delivered remotely, if necessary. The sessions encourage group participation through the slides and knowledge check questions.
