Best Practice in Interviewing Children

This course will give you an overview of child trafficking, exploitation and modern slavery in the UK, support you to identify cases of child exploitation and build your understanding of the challenges victims face. The first module will give you an overview of child trafficking in the UK, its different forms and their dynamics, while the second session outlines best practice in safeguarding and disruption responses to child trafficking and exploitation. It is ideal for a broad range of professionals working in any services working with children vulnerable to trafficking and exploitation.

This event is offering a face-to-face training for foster carers and support workers across England on the care of separated children seeking asylum and child victims of trafficking

This online course focuses on the specific issue of child criminal exploitation (CCE) in the UK. You'll gain an understanding of the causes and dynamics of criminal exploitation among children in the UK and will build your capacity to identify its various forms and respond in line with best practice. Split into two modules, in module 1 we'll review the different forms of CCE, their dynamics and methods of control. In module 2, we'll consider best practice in safeguarding children and disrupting CCE, with a particular focus on non-prosecution for child victims of trafficking.

This course is to develop greater knowledge of practice issues and responses that relate to identifying, safeguarding and responding to the needs of children who may have been trafficked and exploited.

This training course helps participants understand the practical implications of the Modern Slavery Act in working with children and young people in England & Wales

This course introduces the issue of child trafficking, modern slavery and exploitation and gives an overview of the different forms of trafficking and their dynamics. In the second module of the course we consider the impact of trauma on victims of trafficking and ‘what works’ in providing safe care for victims of trafficking, and unaccompanied children. We also look at the particular issue of child victims of trafficking missing from care.
