This course explores how questioning techniques can be used in educational settings to improve learner progress. It provides a theoretical basis for practical strategies, and suggestions for how educators can develop their questioning skills in the classroom. Topic areas covered include, types of questions, Bloom's taxonomy, Rosenshine’s principles of instruction, and a number of practical classroom strategies. This course provides opportunities for educators to reflect and consider the application of theoretical principles to improve their classroom practice, and subsequently better support learner progress.
