Safe System Design and Verification (EN ISO 13849-1)

The course covers the conformity assessment procedure associated with the UKCA / CE marking of machinery. Through the implementation of machinery safety Regulations / Directives and use of harmonised standards, course delegates will get an appreciation of the legal framework involved and an understanding of each of the stages and procedures along the route to conformity.

This course is intended to deliver a basic appreciation of Machinery Safety including its importance in the workplace. To achieve this, you will be provided with the knowledge to be able to manage equipment safety through the use of physical inspections along with the implementation of safe operating procedures and working practices for equipment intended for, or currently in use.

The course gives advice on how to identify, quantify and document machine related hazards and their associated risks, using guidance from the relevant standards.
