This course is designed for all students and food handlers to introduce you to the food safety requirements and practical approaches in the food service sector. During this 4-hour course, you will learn the importance of food safety, personal hygiene and health requirements for food handlers, an overview of the flow of food, sanitation, pest control, and the food handler’s role in food safety implementation.

HACCP stands for Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point, it's a system developed to identify and control food hazards at each step of the flow of food. This qualification covers the steps to develop and implement HACCP, and also covers the 7 HACCP Principles. Level 2 FoodSHAP® Basic Food Safety for Food Handlers is a prerequisite of this course.
