About the CPD Course

GamFam is proud to recruit all of our facilitators from our existing peer-support groups. We have developed an in-house facilitator training programme to enable those with lived experience to train as a paid, sessional facilitator. The training takes approximately 4 hours.

GamFam was set up by those who have experienced first-hand the devastating effects that gambling can have on family and friends. As a family, we had no-one to talk to. We had no idea where to go for support, nor that a gambling addiction was in fact, a recognised mental well-being disorder. Things could have been so different for our family, ‘if only we knew then, what we know now’. It is with this ‘lived experience’ we hope that your family will also be able to start recovering from the effects of gambling harms.

Gambling Harms Information and Awareness Sessions

GamFam

GamFam are delighted to be able to offer our free Information & Awareness sessions via Zoom. Each session is delivered by members of the GamFam team, all of whom have lived experience, directly or indirectly, of gambling related harms. The session objectives include, Changing perception about gambling harms, Feeling more confident to be able offer support to anyone affected by gambling harms (directly or indirectly), To be able to signpost individuals and families to specialised support and services. The sessions last for approximately 90 minutes and are limited to 10 people per session to allow for discussion and questions.
