As a consequence there has been stand-alone professional guidance on CPR decision- making since the 1990s and guidance published jointly by the British Medical Association, Resuscitation Council (UK) and Royal College of Nursing since 2001. This Half day session is based on that guidance and aims to guide the practitioner to make the best informed decisions with their patients regarding end of life and CPR decisions. This three-day course begins by giving staff an understanding of the presentation, causes and challenges relating to the range of Eating Disorders including the clinical diagnoses of Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia, Binge Eating Disorder and Non- Specified Eating Disorders. Building on this foundation, this course then seeks to build the confidence of staff and offer them a broader range of strategies for working with young people experiencing these disorders in particular with a focus on Anorexia Nervosa. This includes options around nutritional management, consideration of physical and psychological needs, and positive support around self-image and self-esteem. These employees need to be trained to minimise the risk of fire, and to be able to take appropriate action in the event of a fire occurring.
