This three-day course begins by giving staff an understanding of the presentation, causes and challenges relating to the range of Eating Disorders including the clinical diagnoses of Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia, Binge Eating Disorder and Non- Specified Eating Disorders. Building on this foundation, this course then seeks to build the confidence of staff and offer them a broader range of strategies for working with young people experiencing these disorders in particular with a focus on Anorexia Nervosa. This includes options around nutritional management, consideration of physical and psychological needs, and positive support around self-image and self-esteem. These employees need to be trained to minimise the risk of fire, and to be able to take appropriate action in the event of a fire occurring. This Fire Warden course covers the duties under fire legislation, as well as looking fire prevention measures, the correct use of fire extinguishers, and how to organise a fire evacuation.
