Understanding and Responding to Sexual Violence in Nightlife (via Zoom)

This interactive workshop is facilitated online by two specialist sexual violence prevention trainers and includes smaller discussion spaces, group activities and takeaway material and certificates for staff. It includes defining inappropriate behaviour (with a focus on sexual harassment and assault) in a nightlife context, myths and realities on consent, drugs, alcohol and the law, touching on spiking. Scenarios on supporting LGBTQ+ students with access and safety, an activity to define appropriate and inappropriate actions to take, a specialist trauma-informed framework for responding compassionately to disclosures, an overview of enacting best practice policies and procedures, and quizzes to test participant understanding.
