This course provides a detailed look at the Digital systems operational processes and how they align with the Industries code of practice, to help understand the optimum digital each individual site. A basic understanding of Digital equipment for Traffic Management is a requirement and a separate course on this subject can be arranged prior to this training. The training is conducted at Highway Resource Solutions Training facility at Bottesford.

Highway Resource Solutions (HRS) was established in 2011, following the death of a road worker in Lincolnshire, UK. This tragic incident, caused by an errant vehicle, was the catalyst for the development of an Incursion Warning System for road workers which is now recognised as best practice by industry and Highways England. Our mission is to provide intuitive technology-based Smart Work Zone Solutions that will help to significantly reduce injuries and fatalities, resulting from errant vehicle -incursions and works vehicles, in temporary work zones whilst providing road users with accurate real-time roadworks information.

Incursion Prevention & Warning System Training

Highway Resource Solutions

The HRS Incursion Prevention and Warning System (IPAWS) course provides the necessary training for TM Designers, Management, Supervisors and Operatives to enable them to understand how the Incursion equipment operates and digitally works together to provide incursion warnings to the workforce. The course lasts 2.5 hours (plus) and combines presentations, discussions, hands on demonstrations and concludes with a multi choice test to assess the students understanding.

Traffic Management Operatives Digital Training

Highway Resource Solutions

The Operatives training is a hands on installation, deployment, operation and discussion session on the digital services that are available to the industry including Incursion Warnings. This course compliments the LANTRA gateman course. The training is conducted at either Highway Resource Solutions Training facility at Bottesford or at the Traffic Management (TM) Companies depot (on request), where a safe external area approx. 6m x 20m is required.
