About the CPD Course
The aim of this session is to understand the experience of sexual violence from the perspective of survivors and ensure confidence in offering a trauma-informed approach throughout support. It will open up conversations on sexual violence, rape myths and trauma responses enabling participants to hear the voices of survivors, explore societal views and reflect on their own outlooks. Using research-based theories and real-life case studies, it will offer the key principles of trauma-informed practice and care aiming to improve participants ability to support and advocate for survivors from initial disclosure to risk and support planning to longer-term healing and recovery.
