You will see how to create HVAC networks for subsequent use by ApacheSim, IES' dynamic thermal simulation module. This course is suitable for those with little or no experience of ApacheHVAC. Prior training (or competency) in ModeIIT and ApacheSim is required.

In this online training course, well show you how to use our MacroFlo application to create a zonal airflow model to calculate bulk air movement in and through the building, driven by wind and buoyancy induced pressures. Follow along with the instructor as we take you step by step through analysing natural ventilation, by simulating the flow of air through openings in the building envelope. The VE Python API allows you to create simple programs using the Python Programming Language, to interact with a VE Model and/or Vista Results File. This gives you the option to automate many of the repetitive tasks, which up to now would have been relatively tedious. With the VE Python API, you can create simple Python programs to automatically, Extract specific information from a VE Model or Vista Results file, Perform some calculations on the data if desired, Arrange the data into a standard format, Write the data to another program such as Microsoft Excel or Word.
