Through an interactive programme you will begin to understand the additional complexities for older victims including the dynamics of abuse, the relationship with the abuser (who may be an adult child) and barriers in accessing support.

Harm in the Name of Honour: A Professional Guide to FM, HBA & FGM

A full day course to explore, understand and tackle the systems of abuse within domestic abuse. This course explores the additional risks to victims that may be subjected to these additional types of abuse along with conventional domestic abuse. The course will allow the trainees to spot the signs of HBV, FM and FGM and have the confidence and knowledge to support and/or refer these victims appropriately to the correct services.

In this workshop we will learn about the law and legislation around coercive control, types of controlling and coercive behaviour, how to support victims and evidence gathering.
