Spiritual Abuse Training

This training will enable participants to have a greater understanding and knowledge of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Trans+ communities. Topics include the exploration of the difference between gender identity sex and sexual orientation, the examination of terminology, process and experience of transitioning gender identity, Trans history and current thinking in relation to gender identity. Finally, the relevant legislation to LGBT+ communities will be addressed and the impact of prejudice and discrimination will be explored.

This three-module in person intensive training course (each module takes a whole day, each spread over a 2-3 week period) comprises, Module One, LGB Awareness. Module Two , Gender Diversity Awareness. Module Three, Key presenting issues and reflections on practice. The training aims for participants to gain greater understanding and cultural competence as well as improve practitioner confidence when working therapeutically with Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans + people.
