Anti-bullying Awareness Course

This course outlines the role of the designated person for safeguarding. Teaching through power point and includes group exercises with child case studies covering a variety of needs and circumstances.

The aim of this course is to enhance awareness and encourage good practice for all professionals working with children, 0 to 18yrs, in a variety of settings, including schools, youth programmes, family support centres, community groups and volunteers. This training is aimed at teachers and non-teaching staff based within international schools outside the UK to enable them to have a basic understanding of safeguarding children and child protection and how this applies to their work.

The Community Leader Training supports adults who work directly with young people. We will cover the causes and consequences of bullying, how to intervene to protect young lives, and how to signpost and follow up on bullying incidents most effectively. Over 90 minutes, the training will cover different types of bullying, the roles within a bullying situation, the data evidencing bullying prevalence, and the main strategies for resolving bullying incidents in their many guises. Upon completion, all attendees will become Kidscape Community Leaders, joining a network of role models committed to supporting young people nationwide.

This course is designed to ensure that those adults working with children and young people have a greater awareness of the online world and the potential risks children face. The course highlights the unlimited positives of the internet. The course links to processes and procedures protecting and safeguarding young people from online harm.

This course is designed to act as an introduction to safeguarding and child protection for staff and volunteers working with children and young people. It also serves as a refresher for those who have previously completed child protection and whose knowledge is in need of updating. Fees Payable.
