This course has been created to introduce clinicians to data science and provide them with basic skills to handle data, The course aims to encourage clinicians to work confidently and effectively with their data, Clinicians are confronted with data every day but often do not have the means or understanding of handling this data correctly, This course will provide delegates with hands on learning experience using tools and knowledge to make correct decisions in handling data, which will result in better quality of clinical research

This study day is designed to improve clinical practice and improve the treatment, management and administration of Botulinum toxin for Blepharospasm, Hemifacial Spasm, Bells Palsy, Gustatory Lacrimation and Entropion. The programme discusses the causes of Botulinum toxin injections side effects and complications and teaches safe injection techniques to minimise these especially through ophthalmic errors. You will learn through a combination of lectures, complex case discussions and live injection sessions.

This course has been created to build on the learning gained in our introductory course ‘An Introduction to Data Science for Clinicians’. The course will provide intensive training on R, the most extensively used coding language for data science. This second course is aimed at for those wishing to further develop their skills on completion of the introductory course. It will also be of interest to anyone who already has an understanding of data science but wishes to develop their knowledge of R.

The MoorfieldsTED series, an ongoing series of evening hybrid meetings covering key aspects of thyroid eye disease. The aim of the meetings is to share experiences, debate topics of controversy, and learn from experts in the field in thyroid eye disease. 12th November 2024

This course will provide an overview of genetics and genomics for IED, an up-to-date overview of genetics of IED including inheritance, types of mutations, genetic testing, genomics, consent for WGS, variant interpretation, how to interpret a genetic report and clinical management/counselling. We will discuss the benefits of genetic testing for IED, advice on who to test, why, when and how in the era of genomic medicine. We will provide a guide on how to manage our genetic patients and how to access guidance and support.
