About the CPD Course
Disorders of Gut-Brain Interaction (DGBIs) such as regurgitation, colic, and constipation are common in the first months of life1. Astrointestinal symptoms of DGBIs are frequent causes of parental anxiety, as well as repeated healthcare professional consultations2. In part 1 of this topic focus, we will explore the diagnostic criteria for DGBIs, and review the change in terminology from functional gastrointestinal disorders (FGIDs). The expert speaker will look at the development of the GI tract during the early postnatal period, including those critical windows in the development of the microbiota–gut–brain axis, as well as the short and longer-term impact of these conditions on infants. There will be an opportunity to put your questions to Lucy during an interactive Q&A session at the end of the webinar.
