Workplace Wellbeing Coordinators Course

LEARN Stress and Resilience will help you develop a personal definition what stress is, the signs and symptoms that you may experience or display if you are stressed and the health risks of short and long term stress. It will help you understand your vulnerability to stress and that, by identifying things that cause you stress and managing these in a different way and by having a range of healthy coping strategies, you can reduce the impact that stress has on your physical and mental health.

The Wellbeing B.U.D.I.E.S. module is a programme to initiate mental health support in the workplace on a voluntary, one-to-one basis for home workers or people that work alone. Many organisations utilise the B.U.D.I.E.S. programme as on onboarding, particularly after recruitment. This training will help give your staff the listening skills and B.U.D.I.E.S. framework to support their colleagues throughout the year.

This course is designed for Line Managers to address and reduce mental health issues at work. The course is broken down into three sessions each one introducing an important mental health concept. The topics are explored through interaction, hands on and self reflection, providing a deep learning experience.

Two of the most common mental health issues in the UK, depression and anxiety, are covered in this training course, helping attendees better understand how issues like these can affect us. Presently, one in six of us will be experiencing a mental health or stress related issue at any given time. With the current coronavirus situation and its unprecedented nature, this figure is only likely to rise, especially amongst home workers.

New Leaf Health have been training Workplace Wellbeing Champions for over 15 years. The training is beneficial for new or existing Wellbeing Champions and Mental Health First Aiders within all organisations. A Champion is passionate about wellbeing and happy to dedicate some time to help make their workplace an environment that promotes the principles of health, wellbeing and behaviour change. This course will give the Champions the skills to lead wellbeing locally, including delivery of effective, inclusive wellbeing campaigns.
