Safeguarding children who are disabled and have additional needs

Online Course

About the CPD Course

This is an introductory course for anyone who works with children and young people who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and additional needs. It acknowledges that children and young people with SEND face an increased risk of being abused compared with their non-disabled peers. The course looks at barriers faced; effective communication; safe culture and working with parents; carers and external agencies.
