Practical tips and audio-clips for delivering very brief weight loss interventions

Online Course

About the CPD Course

Obesity is a growing public health concern, and GP practices can be great places to support people with weight management. Primary care staff can find it difficult to introduce the topic of weight loss with patients. Based on rigorous research of actual interactions and using audio-recordings of these interactions, this course provides evidence-based practical training about how to successfully provide brief, opportunistic advice to patients living with overweight and/or obesity. The training will provide evidence-based examples of how to sensitively introduce the topic of weight loss, how to personalise advice without criticising, and how to minimise resistance.
