Lego Let’s Talk! Building Blocks for Leaning

1 day training programmes to enhance teachers and practitioners’ knowledge to deliver an inclusive, developmentally led, trauma sensitive, nurture approach in the classroom or nurture group on a 1,1 basis or small group. The participant will leave with the confidence to use the Lego to support the learners developmental needs in developing their emotional language skills and building self esteem and self identity.

Making Sense of Attachment

Relationships are essential for academic and emotional growth. Participants will learn the purpose of attachment behaviours, when they are used and how patterns of attachment develop. Participants will feel confident to identify and meet the needs of learners displaying attachment difficulties. They will gain an understanding of how attachments patterns are driven by anxiety, how to reduce this anxiety for individual learners, how to support learners to feel more secure and how this can lead to improved behaviours in the classroom. Participants will also have time to consider their own attachment styles and how these impacts on others around them.

Practitioners will learn about how to Use non-verbal and verbal language for de-escalation. Use non-verbal and verbal language to meet developmental needs. Use communication to maximise learners’ potential. Leave with a bank of strategies to manage crisis situations.

Nurture Practitioner (Sylvia Lucas) Programme

5 x 3 hour plus 15 minute module training programmes to enhance teachers and practitioners’ knowledge to deliver an inclusive, developmentally led, trauma sensitive, nurture approach in the classroom or nurture group. Practitioners will learn about the neuroscience of the six nurture principles for learning. They will be able to confidently use them as a framework for learning in the classroom. They will have access to the Digital Developmental Portrait which will help them support the developmental needs of the children and young people in order that they can achieve their potential in a an emotionally safe environment.

Whole School Nurture Approach for Learning

The Whole School Nurture Approach for Learning supports schools to embed a developmentally informed, trauma sensitive, nurture approach across the whole school. The six nurture principles for learning guide schools to embed a graduated, neuro sequential approach to meet the developmental needs of all within a safe, predictable, and caring environment so that all can flourish and reach their potential. There are five modules, three reviews, webinars and ongoing support as well as unlimited access to the time effective Digital Developmental Portrait for the duration of the two eighteen-month programme. Successful schools will gain the WSNAL Award.
