MAPS – Peer Support Awareness

Developing a wellbeing culture in the workplace has the potential to transform teams by increasing employee wellness, work satisfaction, and productivity. This course is an introduction to building a healthy culture of wellbeing and opens the discussion on key subject matter such as leading with empathy, fostering a thriving team and prioritising mental health in your organisation. These are looked at in terms of moral and business benefits, and how building a culture of wellbeing develops organisational resilience.

A comprehensive course introducing peer support programmes into aviation in America. Providing an understanding of peer support programmes and what they set out to achieve, the course includes references to the European regulations that detail the implementation and execution of such programmes. Detailed information is given on the Talk To A Peer (TTAP) peer support programme which is available as part of services provided by MedAire. Leaners will gain knowledge on mental health awareness and coping strategies to promote good wellbeing. TTAP is part of OdiliaClark who are partnered with MedAire to provide MedAire’s Wellbeing Service powered by TTAP.

A comprehensive course giving the learner an understanding of why programmes supporting the prevention of drug and alcohol misuse are mandatory in aviation and how testing will be performed in the workplace using the OdiliaClark process in line with company policy. Learners will also gain knowledge on how employees with drug and alcohol dependencies can be supported through their company and seek support for themselves.
