This Introductory course is a basic ultrasound skills for Rheumatology assessment under ultrasound guidance. Every Trainee has an ultrasound system to practice with for the duration of the course. All courses have experienced expert lecturers who teach and assess and are available for the month to ask key learning points and advice.

An advanced course aimed at clinicians wishing to consolidate their skills for botulinum toxin ultrasound guided injection for spasticity management. The 1 day course includes classroom sessions exploring spasticity management options followed by cadaveric lab practical skills covering Ultrasound guided injection techniques. Those who would like to advance their practice would benefit from this course.

This essential skills course is a basic ultrasound skills course for needle guidance techniques under ultrasound guidance. The course is a half day practical skills course with a high ratio student to machine to enable all students to gain hands-on practice at visualising and targeting objects with ultrasound (vessels) and needles prior to use on patients clinically. This course is designed to provide the practitioner with the essential probe handling and image orientation skills required to use ultrasound imaging in podiatry. It is an introduction to ultrasonography. A one-day programme specifically designed to support practitioners in their incorporation of ultrasound into routine podiatric practice through applied anatomical knowledge and development of examination skills. The face-to-face teaching programme is delivered by short lectures followed by practice, covering the Achilles tendon, the plantar structures, the ankle and tarsal/metatarsal joints. Examination techniques are demonstrated and practiced. Entry requirements for this course are a BSc Podiatry or equivalent professional qualification.
