This full day course will give professionals (Teachers, lunchtime assistants, health workers, youth workers, play workers, mentors, counsellors) an introduction to Child Abuse Linked to Faith and Belief. The course will enable individuals to recognise and respond to safeguarding concerns specific to faith and belief when working with children and young people. Professionals will be equipped with the knowledge of the signs and symptoms of various forms of child abuse linked to faith and belief including physical, sexual, emotional, neglect, forced marriage and Female Genital Mutilation. Participants will leave the session confident that they can act effectively and appropriately in response to the safeguarding and protection of children and young people in relation to faith and belief child abuse.

This is a 1.5hour Workshop for Professionals who work with children and young people on an introduction to EQ. The workshop will enable participants to understand how EQ contributes to a person's adequacy in such areas as self-awareness, empathy, and dealing sensitively with other people, alongside other factors such as their intelligence and personality. The Workshop looks to increase knowledge and skills around the internal/external elements of EQ, to improve social functioning, understanding and managing emotions, and the valuing of ourselves and others. Participants will leave the workshop with a good understanding of EQ and knowledge as to how they can practice further and continue to grow and develop their own EQ in life as well as their profession.

This full day course will give professionals working with children and young people an in-depth coverage to Child Sexual Exploitation. The course will enable individuals to understand the history and prevalence of CSE through discourse. They will be able to identify who is at risk of CSE and the push / pull factors that lead children and young people to victimisation. Participants will be informed of various models of CSE and awareness of the impact of consent and attitudes towards victims. Participants will be able to identify signs of CSE and know how to respond in both safeguarding and intervention.
