Introduction to Building Information Modelling (BIM)

The AutoCAD Civil 3D Fundamentals training is designed for Civil Engineers and Surveyors who want to take advantage of AutoCAD® Civil 3D® software’s interactive, dynamic design functionality. You will learn techniques enabling you to organize project data, work with points, create and analyse surfaces, model road corridors, create parcel layouts, perform grading and volume calculation tasks, and layout pipe networks.

This hands-on three day course provides a proper grounding in AutoCAD / AutoCAD LT. The teaching strategy is to start with a few basic tools that enable the student to create and edit a simple drawing and then continue to develop those tools.

This three day course teaches the features and functionality of Navisworks Project review software for AEC professionals that makes this product essential. The software helps architectural engineering and construction professionals holistically review integrated models and data to gain better control over project outcomes. The integration, analysis and communication tools help teams co-ordinate disciplines, resolve conflicts and plan projects before construction or renovation begins.

This three day course provides an overview of the concepts of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and introduces the tools for parametric building design and documentation using Revit Architecture. The course will teach the Autodesk Revit functionality as you would work with it throughout the design process – from basic drawing, editing and viewing tools to the design development tools including how to model walls, doors and more. Finally you l earn the processes that take the model into the construction documentation phase.

This three day training is intended to introduce students to the software’s user interface and the basic HVAD, electrical, and piping/plumbing components that make the Autodesk Revit software a powerful and flexible engineering modelling tool. The objective is to familiarize students with the tools necessary to create, document and print the parametric model. The examples and practices are designed to take you through the basics of a full MEP project from linking in an architectural model to construction documents.

This one day course provides an overview of BIM and alignment for all delegates on UK L2 and beyond strategy. IT will cover people, process and technology aspects of BIM. The key outcome is that users will understand BIM, deliverables and how to develop a strategy going forward.

This course will build on the ISO 19650 series, the Irish National Annex and the requirements of the CWMF course to understand the practical applications of BIM through stages 1 -5. It is for technical team members who will be involved in the information management processes of project delivery. The learning objectives are to ensure all attendees understand the practical application of the CWMF stages 1-5 for ISO 19650 in the context of a MED project, understand and use the MED templates previously created during the workshop, and assist in further maturing the information requirements workflows and documentation for MED.

This course has been developed and will be delivered by our experienced Consultants, who have been generating Asset Information Models (& COBie outputs) using Revit for several years. Training will also highlight best practices & lessons learned from projects.

This course will build on the initial introduction to BIM and provide a detailed overview of the ISO 19650 series, the Irish National Annex and the requirements of the CWMF. The course is for technical team members who will be involved in the information management processes of project delivery. The learning objectives are to ensure all staff: Aware of BIM and the requirements of the Irish Government Understand the ISO 19650 series Understand the Irish National Annex of ISO 19650 Understand the impact and requirements of the CWMF & ISO 196650 series on their department/team and their role in information management. Assist in developing feedback for information requirements documentation.

The objective of the Autodesk Revit BIM Management, Template and Family Creation training course is to enable students who have worked with the software to expand their knowledge in setting up office standards with templates that include annotation styles, preset views, sheets, and schedules, as well as creating custom element types and families. The training can be taught in any one or a mix of all of the software programs using practices specific to each discipline.
