About the CPD Course

This course is aimed at GPs, nurse prescribers, PCN and practice pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, medicines optimisation teams and community pharmacists. The course is comprised of six modules covering the background to AF and the risk of stroke, NICE clinical guideline 196 on the Diagnosis and Management of AF, the assessment of stroke and bleeding risks, the choice of anticoagulant, the safe use of DOACs in renal impairment, co-prescribing of anticoagulants and antiplatelets and the patient information required to ensure that anticoagulants are used as safely as possible.
