About the CPD Course

This e-learning course provides a structured overview of asthma across diagnosis, management, and monitoring. It begins by defining asthma as a chronic inflammatory condition and differentiating it from COPD, alongside epidemiology, symptoms, triggers, and co-morbidities. Learners will explore accurate diagnosis using clinical history and objective testing across age groups, including occupational asthma. The course then covers stepwise pharmacological management, including AIR and MART strategies, inhaler selection and technique, and when to refer. It also addresses complex asthma, special populations, patient counselling, self-management, personalised action plans, and effective monitoring to optimise long-term outcomes.
