About the CPD Course

This course is aimed at care and nursing staff working in care homes. It may also be useful for other professionals who have involvement with care homes such as care home pharmacists and technicians, nurses and GPs. The course covers, standards relating to nutrition and hydration in care homes, the MUST tool to identify residents at risk of malnutrition, person centred nutrition & hydration care plans, a food based approach to managing malnutrition, information on Oral Nutritional Supplements, improving food and fluid intake in residents with dementia, managing eating and drinking in end-of-life care and strategies to reduce poor hydration.
