Allergy and Anaphylaxis Awareness

Training Course

About the CPD Course

This course equips school staff with the knowledge and confidence to recognise, respond to and help prevent allergic reactions in educational settings. Learners will understand allergies and anaphylaxis, recognise common allergens and symptoms, and learn how to respond appropriately during an allergic emergency, including the use of adrenaline auto-injectors. The course also covers allergy management, risk reduction, legal responsibilities and inclusive practices that support pupil wellbeing. Under Benedict's Law, the Department for Education (DfE) mandates that all school staff in England receive annual allergy awareness and emergency response training, helping schools create safer, more inclusive learning environments.
