This monthly annual and on-demand course will be kept available online to be complete by participants through the year. First, the course explains the basic principal of digital PCR, the different possibilities to achieve partitioning and how the absolute quantification of digital PCR as a primary readout is capable to infer secondary analysis. Second, the course focuses on some guidelines for a good digital PCR assay design and what to take into consideration when moving existing assays from quantitative to digital PCR. In the last module, the course uses real world data to show how digital PCR has been used in the environmental studies. This range from COVID testing in wastewater sample to plant DNA identification in soil samples.

The event focuses on molecular testing and how this is moving toward genomics sequencing and personalised health. How this can be applied in Regional Genetics laboratories involving not only Technology but Bioinformatics to improve patient care. Challenges and Solutions are discussed, between R7D and practical application.
