Everyone is an individual and there are no set rules on how to guide people with sight loss, however the advice given in this course is safe and sensible. The course has a range of activities with different scenarios to cover indoor and outdoor guiding. There are subtitled videos with text transcriptions to demonstrate the different guiding techniques. As with all RNIB Learning, the course is accessible to screen reader users.

This RNIB course is suitable for members of the Visibly Better certification as well as other interested parties who want to improve their knowledge of designing inclusive environments for people with sight loss. This can be undertaken as a single course or in conjunction with the RNIB Understanding Sight Loss course.

The aim of the training is to increase awareness and understanding of the visual hallucinations caused by sight loss, known as Charles Bonnet Syndrome.
