After the training, learners will be able recognise different forms of domestic abuse and will be able to identify risk and create safety plans.

Coercive control training helps professionals recognise patterns of behaviour used to dominate, isolate, and entrap victims/survivors in abusive relationships. It explores how abuse is not always physical, but can include intimidation, manipulation, monitoring, financial control, threats, and restriction of freedom. The training highlights the profound impact coercive control has on safety, wellbeing, and decision-making, and why victims may find it difficult to leave. Participants gain practical tools to identify warning signs, respond with confidence, and provide trauma-informed, survivor-centred support. Understanding coercive control is essential for effective safeguarding and intervention.

This course will provide learners an insight into the prevalence and distinct nature of domestic abuse affecting older people. This course will ensure learners understand the importance of safety planning and how to safety plan in different situations. It will increase learners' confidence in why, when, and how to carry out safety and support planning and understanding the process of emergency safety planning.

It is a myth that the majority of stalkers are strangers lurking in alleys or celebrity obsessed fans - the vast majority of stalking is perpetrated by someone who knows the victim, mostly an ex-partner. This course will give you a understanding of stalking behaviours, perpetrator's typologies and motivation, the impact of stalking upon the victim and how to best support victims of stalking.

Sexual violence affects millions of people every year. 5 in 6 women and 4 in 5 men who are raped do not report the crime to the police. This training session will increase learners understanding of what sexual violence is, what it looks like, and how to respond to it and refer to specialist agencies. The course will also explore the myths and misconceptions around sexual violence, and how societal messages impact on survivors, and the support they receive.

Develop an understanding of how domestic abuse risk escalates over time, including recognising patterns of coercive control and their impact on victims. This training will help you to understand how abusers use technology to perpetrate abuse, the risk this poses to survivors and how to effectively safety plan against these methods of abuse. By the end of the training session you will also be able to identify protective technologies and how to incorporate this into safety planning with survivors.

This training discusses the biggest taboo in domestic abuse - violence of children and young people towards their parents, carers and siblings. Attendees will be asked to challenge their own beliefs and attitudes. The training will look into CAPVA as an issue affecting families, communities, and the wider society. The course will give you understanding of the lasting psychological, emotional, physical and social effects of a child’s exposure to domestic abuse. This training looks into the impact of developmental trauma and possible representations of trauma in children. By the end of the training, learners will be knowledgeable about the effective ways of supporting a child who witnessed or experienced abuse and they will be confident to develop your own practice when working with traumatised children.
