An Introduction to Mucopolysaccharidosis type I (MPS I)

This eLearning course has been created to educate HCPs about the rare condition, Mucopolysaccharidosis type I (MPS I). The intention is to encourage clinicians to consider the possibility of MPS I where patients present with signs and symptoms, such as hernia, frequent ear infections, joint contractures, and corneal clouding, that cannot be explained by other conditions. This is important as delays in diagnosis of MPS disorders are common - ranging from months to decades - particularly among patients with slowly progressing disease. It is hoped that raising awareness of MPS I through this online course may lead to earlier detection and diagnosis of MPS I, which could reduce the patient burden of disease and improve treatment outcomes.

Family Planning Information Provision

Following completion of the multiple sclerosis (MS) disease aspects and family planning module this workshop provides the opportunity to discuss and share best practice on family planning information needs and provision in different scenarios. The workshop consists of two group exercises, the first to identify patients’ information needs in different scenarios, and the second to practice using a framework to deliver appropriate information in a way that doesn’t overwhelm the patient and that is tailored to their needs.
